Unlike most farms around the world where coffee fruits are indiscriminately harvested by machines disregarding quality and ripeness, at The Formosa Coffee our farms carefully hand-harvest only beans that are at the peak of ripeness. They are sun-dried with the outer fruit layer intact for up to two weeks. This allows the beans to absorb the flavor of the fruit which gives our coffee a robust flavor profile that is perfectly balanced: a hint of acidity and just the right amount of fruity smoothness. Authentic Taiwan Beans
Great coffee comes from responsible farmers. We work directly with coffee farms at an altitude of 3,500-4,000ft on the mountains of central Taiwan. The beans are grown in nutrient rich volcanic soil and hydrated with pristine spring water.
Our farmers hand-harvest only the ripe coffee fruits within a six-month window ensuring every bean is packed with the best flavor and aroma.

We hand-roast to order every bag of our delicious coffee in New York within 24 hours of packaging and shipping. Great roasted coffee should always arrive fresh.
Once ground, coffee bean starts to lose its optimal taste and aroma within two weeks. We work hard to make sure your coffee arrives packed with peak flavor.
